LAPA Ltd. offers a variety of marine training courses in accordance with the STCW Convention and the requirements of the Maritime Administration of Latvia.

Our training programs include GMDSS, Medical Care, ECDIS, BRM, Ship Handling, and Competence Updating courses for Masters, Deck Officers, and Engineer Officers.

All our training programs are approved by the Maritime Department of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Latvia, ensuring that our seafarers are fully prepared to meet the industry’s highest standards.

LAPA Ltd. as business entity actively participates in many different public activities as member of Latvian Crewing Companies Association, Marine Training Union, International Association of Safety and Survival Training, Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Latvia.
International Association of Safety and Survival Training
is public organization founded for:
The IASST is an association of safety and survival training organizations whose mission is:
To facilitate the exchange of information on matters relating to safety in the maritime environment and to promote continuous improvement in safety and survival training internationally.
The IASST aims to improve safety and survival training by sharing of best practice information between its members.
Latvian Crewing Companies Association
is public organization founded to:
– coordinate Crewing Companies activities in public and legislation fields;
– share information related to new legislation, local and international regulations etc.;
– organizing seminars and conferences related to mentioned above;
– consolidate forces to protect Crewing companies and Latvian seafarers interests in cooperation with other Maritime organizations in Latvia and internationally;
– to coordinate and participate in different activities related to increase attraction of Maritime professions and seafaring;
The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Latvia
The Mission of the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Latvia (NCCL) is to establish and develop a business network and cooperation between Norwegian and Latvian companies, promoting fair and reciprocal trade.
The Chamber serves as a platform for mutual professional interests through various events, both formal and informal.
The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Latvia is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that operates to serve the interests of its members.
The Norwegian Ambassador to Latvia is Honorary Member of the Association.
NCCL is a member of Foreign Investors Council in Latvia (FICIL) and it is also cooperating with other Chambers in Latvia and the Baltics. Established in 2007, the NCCL have already gained an active membership of more than 100 companies.
Chamber offers membership to both Companies and Individuals. It’s ambition is to develop the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce to become a strong and vibrant voice, promoting the interests of it’s members.
Norwegian investors and interests are strongly present in Latvia, and NCCL is currently seeking to get in contact with all companies that would benefit from joining the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce.
Maritime Training Union
is public organization which is founded in order:
– to use members experience, knowledge, expertise and knowhow to improve training processes, quality, methods and content in order to increase seafarers professional level, awareness and change attitude towards their job;
– to improve society impression about shipping industry in general by means of participation in different maritime public activities, tournaments, advertising campaigns and meetings;
– to increase attraction of maritime professions in order to ensure renovation of seafarers pool in Eastern Europe;
