Young Officers from St.Petersburg


Following the success of our Cadetship program, we continue to change the face of the shipping landscape through the training program and partnership with LAPA. We are proud to announce the start of the selection for the Cadets. The first batch of the young Officers from St.Petersburg region has been selected in cooperation with AV and LAPA.

In total 16 Russian candidates applied for the cadetship of which we could offer 5 a position as cadet for 6 months. They will start their sailing period in February 2019.
The next batch will be selected later this month from 30 candidates at the Acomarine office in Odessa for another 5 cadet vacancies.

We seek candidates who are motivated and committed to excel through a challenging and demanding training program. Successful Cadets will demonstrate well established analytical skills, high attention to detail, well developed problem solving ability together with a commitment to achieving high results placing safety on the first place.

Commencing a seagoing career requires a high level of dedication and passion. To assist with the transition the Cadets will be assigned a mentor to provide with guidance and advice when on board. The mentor has been selected from our highly experienced & high performing group of the officers on board of each vessel. Once the graduates successfully complete the program, the cadets can look forward to an exciting career as an Officer with the Anthony Veder leading in the gas tanker sector.
